The function of marketing has become an integral component of successful nonprofit organizations. Nonprofit Marketing is designed to help administrators, staff and volunteers grasp the basic principles and practices of marketing in the nonprofit environment. This course covers the steps in the marketing process necessary for you to implement a marketing program in your organization. You will gain an understanding of the complete marketing cycle; research, planning, creative promotion, implementation of the marketing mix, measurement and course corrections.

Nonprofit Marketing assumes an informal, basic understanding of marketing. A brief introduction to marketing principles is provided to ensure a common base of understanding. The focus of the course in on the practical application of marketing strategies and supporting tactics through a complete marketing cycle; from marketing research and assessment of your organization’s mission and goals to the development of a marketing plan, from developing creative promotional strategies to creating instruments to measure the success of your marketing efforts.
